日本を代表する観光地、道頓堀。時代とともに多様化する娯楽を享受しながら活気を育んできたこの場所がこれからもエンターテイメントを築いていく先駆者となるべく、新たなシンボルを形成する。街も人も娯楽に寛容な道頓堀だからこそ許容される開かれた娯楽として、水浴施設を提案する。

敷地はグリコ看板の真向いの一等地。戎橋と交差する角地であり人々の流動と滞留、レベル差が同時に交わるこの結節点にこそ、ピロティが有効であると考えた。本提案では「地盤の積層」の手法を用いて、柱、梁、壁、天井などあらゆる要素を一様に構築する。従来とは対照的に物理的なヒエラルキーを持たないフラットな関係は、ピロティの可能性を平面方向だけでなく垂直方向にまで引き上げる。積層により生じるズレと段差は人々の居場所となるだけでなく、水や植栽をも受けとめる器となる。プールやスライダー、飛び込み台などのアクティビティの立体的な構築、山を登るような動線、階層を跨いだ奥行きのある風景がこれまでにない一体的な娯楽空間を形成する。建築内部のアクティビティが水とともに街へ溢れることで建築自身が一つの広告塔となり、人々のふるまいや街に根差したエンターテイメントを発信する唯一無二のシンボルとなる。

Dotonbori is one of Japan's most popular sightseeing spots, evolving over time into a vibrant entertainment hub. As a future pioneer in open entertainment, we propose a unique bathing resort that embodies Dotonbori's spirit of tolerance.
Located across from the iconic Glico sign at the Ebisu Bridge corner, the site is ideal for a "pilotis" structure that harmonizes with the dynamic flow of people. This proposal uses a "ground layering" method, creating uniform columns, beams, and walls that allow vertical and horizontal movement. The stacked layers form spaces for relaxation, water features, and plants. Activities like swimming pools, slides, and climbing paths create an immersive three-dimensional space, blending indoor activities with the city's energy. The building becomes a symbol of Dotonbori, reflecting the city’s lively culture and openness to entertainment.
